I am the founder of Softel vdm, Inc., which has been developing and publishing developer tools since 1994. I have also developed MyTinyTV (a TV media streaming solution). I often find new business needs and implement an in-house solution before these become commercially or publicly available anywhere in the marketplace. For example, in early 2000, Softel vdm, Inc. implemented product activation ahead of the rest of the industry. Documentation, help file, printed manual generators were developed in 1999 (Microsoft's Sandcastle and similar tools became available only many years later). We developed application installers for native 64-bit applications on the Itanium platform, before the "big players" had anything that wasn't based on 32-bit applications.
